Elevate Your Ride: The Bespoke Sissy Bar

If you’ve been cruising on a Dirodi Rover+ or Pro, you already know it’s more than just an e-bike—it’s a statement of freedom and utility. But for those who use their bike as a primary commuter or a weekend explorer, there is always room to enhance the passenger experience and the bike's silhouette.

We are excited to showcase our latest custom project: a precision-engineered Back Rest (Sissy Bar) designed specifically for the Dirodi Rover series

Engineering Meets Elegance

Designed by eZED Limited in Queenstown, New Zealand, this accessory is built to withstand both the rugged Southern Alps and the sleek streets of European capitals. We didn’t just want a "part"; we wanted a seamless extension of the bike’s frame.

The Technical Details:

  • Premium Materials: The main structure is crafted from a 16mm diameter steel tube, offering the perfect balance of weight and structural integrity.

  • Adjustable Comfort: Unlike static rests, our design features an adjustable headrest bracket and secondary bracket system, allowing you to tailor the ergonomics to your passenger.

  • Precision Fit: Utilizing a series of custom-folded 2mm mild steel (M/S) brackets and joiners, the assembly mounts securely to the existing bike frame.

  • Stealth Finish: To maintain that iconic Dirodi look, every part is powder-coated in a matte black finish post-welding for maximum durability and weather resistance.

Why Add a Sissy Bar?

In Europe and NZ, e-bikes are replacing second cars. Whether you are dropping a child off at school in Amsterdam or heading to a vineyard in Central Otago with a friend, passenger safety and comfort are paramount. The 105° tilt of the backrest ensures a natural seating position, while the robust clamp system ensures zero "wobble" during high-torque climbs.

Local Craftsmanship, Global Standards

This project, developed for client Glenn Campbell, highlights the beauty of bespoke sheet metal fabrication. Every curve, from the R30 and R46 bends to the flat-pattern joiners, has been calculated for a flush, "factory" fit.

Ready to upgrade your Dirodi? Small-batch custom parts like this are what turn a great bike into a perfect one.
